Training staff in web development requires a blend of hands-on, project-based learning and strategic upskilling. Whether you are aiming to build a brand-new team from scratch or elevate current employees, a successful training program balances foundational coding with modern frameworks and version control.Key Pillars of a Web Dev Training ProgramFocus on Fundamentals: Ensure staff master the core triad of the web: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. No matter how advanced a modern framework is, deep knowledge of these three prevents basic troubleshooting issues.Standardized Tools & Workflows: Require standard usage of Git and GitHub for version control. Training should cover creating branches, submitting pull requests, and resolving merge conflicts to safely manage collaborative codebases.Hands-on, Real-World Projects: Shift away from just watching video tutorials and encourage building real projects that deploy to a staging or live environment. Use platforms like web.dev for up-to-date best practices, such as Core Web Vitals and accessibility.Structured Debugging: Teach staff how to read and interpret official documentation. Training should incorporate practical debugging using built-in browser Developer Tools.
